A little about me.

I’m Sarah, the newborn & childhood portrait artist behind Sarah Faith Photography in Steveston Village, Richmond, BC. I turn the people, memories and little years you love into finished artwork for your home.

In simpler terms, I photograph babies and kids. Which means I spend a surprising amount of my life on the ground negotiating with toddlers.

Organised. Observant. Playful. Unflappable.

And if you watched one of my sessions with the sound off, there are definitely moments you’d question my sanity.

“Sarah expertly navigated my three children’s very different personalities and was able to warm up my camera-shy son.”

I live in Steveston with my husband, two dogs and two cats. I’m a minimalist at heart. Scandinavian design. Bright, uncluttered spaces. Pops of colour. Things made well.

That’s pretty much how I like to work too. Thoughtful. Uncomplicated. Nothing there for the sake of it.

Want to make flower crowns in a field?

Roast marshmallows around a campfire?

Paint something colourful and get a little messy?

Curl up on the couch with a favourite book?

Fill the hallway with black-and-white portraits?

I love turning the things you do together into art for your home.

“She was especially amazing with our two boys, so patient, engaging and experienced. She knew exactly how to get them involved and smiling without anything feeling forced.”

Your toddler can arrive with their own agenda. Your baby can need six diaper changes.

Someone can refuse to wear pants.

We’ll be fine.

Shy, loud, cautious, wiggly, neurodivergent, slow to warm up. Bring me the kid you actually have.

I love kids with opinions. Families who can laugh when things go sideways. Plenty of room for everyone to be themselves.

Come as you are.

Have some fun.

Let’s turn this part of your family’s story into art for your home.

“She created such a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, which really helped our kids feel comfortable in front of the camera.”

I’m an honours graduate of the VanArts Professional Photography Program and an active member of the Professional Photographers of Canada. My background in nursing also shapes the way I work: calm, patient and very comfortable adapting when babies and children need more time.
